![Almond Milk Tea topped w/ Puff Pastry [Capitol Seafood - Alhambra, CA]
I love this place not only because of the great dim sum they serve, but because of the excitement in my pops’ voice when he told me about it. He was trying to explain this particular dish to me, but I just couldn’t grasp what he was explaining at the time. As soon as we arrived at the restaurant, he placed the order - since these take quite some time to assemble, place your order for them early! His smile as we broke into the puff pastry for the first time, to find the milk tea surprise, brought me back to the old days of him feeding me McDonald’s french fries while my bro and I played in the ball pen.
I imagine that most of you have tried Almond Milk Tea.. but combining it with the puff pastry adds an interestingly comforting touch. It makes me want to cuddle up on my couch, with my favorite blanket, on a cold day and just sip on its lightly sweetened perfection.
